Sean has been working for RMCU, serving our members for more than 12 years. His career began as a Member Service Representative while he was completing his accounting degree at Carroll College. Sean moved his way up through a variety of positions, excelling at each one and learning new things along the way from Loan Processor to Accounting Manager, and eventually Controller.
What is a Controller?
But what exactly is a controller, you might ask? The controller oversees all accounting operations at RMCU. In this role, Sean manages accounting records and is responsible for the production of financial reports, helping us make sure we’re financially healthy as an organization so we can continue to make decisions in our members’ interest.
It’s a big responsibility, and Sean carries it in stride. For this, Sean credits his parents who showed him the value of hard work. He’s grateful for where that has brought him today.
Fun Around Helena
It’s not all work and no play for Sean. On the weekends around Helena, Sean takes advantage of all the outdoor recreation opportunities right in his backyard. He loves to fish the rivers, play in the nearby lakes, and ski down mountains at Great Divide in the winter. More than anything, Sean savors his time at home with the family. He’s a girl dad of two, with his second daughter making her appearance this year.
Likewise, rather than go out to eat, Sean prefers to take advantage of his backyard Traeger. He grills, smokes and barbecues his favorite meats, especially when it’s game day for the Miami Dolphins – his all-time favorite pro team.
Family First
Sean’s ideal vacation is a selfless one – taking his family to Disneyland or Disney World to stroll down Main Street USA so his daughters can meet their favorite Disney characters. Seeing his girls light up with joy is more than worth it.
