Lorie is a longtime resident of Butte and loves exploring all of the outdoor opportunities it has to offer. Like many of our members in Butte, on the weekend she’s riding her four-wheeler, floating the river or hanging out by a campfire with friends and family. She’s passionate about her community in Butte; she feels at home here and at RMCU.
“I love that I have the privilege of helping the Butte community through my job at RMCU,” Lorie said.
Providing Exceptional Member Service
As the Branch Manager, Lorie spends her days inside the branch, overseeing staff and helping them work toward their personal and overall branch goals. Managing the branch for more than four years, she knows RMCU’s enduring members by name. Her main role? Making sure RMCU is providing exceptional member service to its community at all times, whether that’s with a friendly welcome each time a member walks in the door or making sure members receive the education they need to make the best financial decisions for themselves. Essentially, she makes the Butte branch a great place to be and an ideal financial institution for community members to trust with their hard-earned funds.
At RMCU, everything is local. Decisions are made locally, not by someone sitting in a high-rise building in New York. Any profit made goes toward the good of the members, as well as causes in the local community. So, if you’re in Butte, consider keeping your money in Butte along with members like Lorie.
Lorie's Butte Favorites
If you’re new to the Butte area, Lorie has restaurant recommendations. When it’s lunch time, she’ll mosey over to Muzz & Stan’s Freeway Tavern for its famous Wop Chop sandwich: a tender pork sandwich on a soft bun with all the fixins’. For dinner, she’ll vouch for Casagranda’s Steakhouse – “the best, hands down” according to Lorie.
When she’s on the day-to-day grind of running the Butte branch, it helps to have a little inspiration. When asked who she admires most, Lorie raves about her nephew, Johnny.
“He is special needs, but not a day goes by that he isn’t smiling, teasing you and making you laugh,” she said. “He sees you for who you are and loves you no matter what, and there’s not a judgmental bone in his body. If everyone had a heart like his, the world would be a much better place. He is my hero!”
It’s with this mindset that Lorie treats the staff and members at RMCU: no judgement, just smiles, acceptance and a few laughs.
With opportunities for travel opening up again, Lorie has her sights set on her next vacation destination: Ireland. Like so many in Butte, Lorie’s heritage lies in the Emerald Isle, and she has extended family on both sides living there. But for now, you’ll find her exploring Montana or in RMCU’s Butte branch, making the best in member service happen.
