Take a Long Weekend and Roadtrip To Salt Lake City

If you have a long weekend and an itch to get out of town, head down to Salt Lake City! If you’re leaving from Bozeman, the direct route will get you there in less than six and a half hours. You’ll have plenty of time to explore and see all the wonders that the city has to offer.

Take a Long Weekend and Roadtrip To Salt Lake City

Along the Way

While on the road, stop in Idaho Falls. You’ll get there in about 3 hours and 15 minutes so it will be a great halfway stopping point. Stop at the North Hi-Way Café for a bite to eat. Not only has this little café been serving food since 1934, but it has 4 ½ star ratings of the food. This pitstop will leave you full and ready to tackle the rest of your drive.

In Salt Lake City

Once you’ve reached Salt Lake, head straight to the zoo. In Salt Lake City, there is the Hogle Zoo, which has many different exhibits including the Elephant Encounter exhibit that houses African elephants and white rhinos. There is also the Asian Highlands exhibit which features tigers, leopards, lynx, and red pandas which have only recently been added to the exhibit. Whether you spend a few hours or a full day at this zoo, you will see plenty of wildlife and have a great time.

You will be glad to know that Salt Lake City also has a great selection of breweries. Do some exploring and taste testing and let us know which you like best! We did a little research, and based on reviews we recommend giving RoHa Brewing Project and A. Fisher Brewing Company a try!

If you are looking for a night out on the town go check out what is happening at Eccles Theater. This downtown arts center has comedians, concerts, and Broadway shows. There’s a little of something for everyone so you can entertain yourself with any kind of show you see fit. Some of the fall 2018 shows include Bob Weir and Wolf Brothers, Lord of the Dance, David Sedaris, Bat out of Hell, etc.

Another fun part of Salt Lake City is the Utah Jazz. Unlike any basketball team in Montana, Utah has a professional basketball team. This could be a fun and unique way to spend your Friday or Saturday night! Just make sure you plan ahead and purchase your tickets in advance.

Tours of the City

No matter how you decide to spend your weekend in Salt Lake City, you will be able to find something for you. If you are a history nut, choose one of the walking tours and discover all of the histories that the city has to offer. If you are looking for more active entertainment, there are plenty of new things for you to try. Or you can stick to the outdoor activity that you love best. It’s entirely up to you! Finally, if you are looking for budget-friendly options, there are plenty of free activities that you can still enjoy in the Great Salt Lake. Make sure you check out the State Capitol Building and Temple Square while you are there!

With all this fun that you are having, don’t forget to return back home on Sunday. You’ll have made plenty of great memories and maybe even start a list for the next trip you make. Get prepared for this trip with a new car. Start your auto application today.
