The Butte Emergency Food Bank operates with the intention that no individual or family in the community experiences the fear and pain of hunger. Each year they distribute about 1,300,000 pounds of food–canned goods; boxed and bagged food; diapers; milk; bread and bakery items; meat and more–to Butte area residents, about 2,700 people each month. RMCU has partnered with The Butte Food Bank to help support its mission and ensure that individuals impacted by food insecurity are able to care for themselves and their families.
Through this partnership, RMCU has provided financial resources to the food bank, as well as volunteer time from their staff. RMCU employees have volunteered at events, helped with fundraising efforts, and provided support to the annual Turkey Tournament in November.
In addition to its partnership with Butte Food Bank, RMCU also offers special accounts for nonprofits that come with reduced fees, making it easier for these organizations to manage their finances. This initiative has helped to ensure that nonprofits can focus on their mission and impact the community in meaningful ways.
All of these initiatives demonstrate RMCU's commitment to supporting the community and helping local nonprofits thrive. By providing financial resources, volunteer time, and other forms of support, RMCU is making a real difference in the lives of local children and families and other important causes in Montana.
